iCloud Security - ssl / tls / https

Hey guys, I am very excited to use the latest released technology name icloud by the apple computer Inc. I have just used it and was wondering if there is any security features enabled in it. I browsed to through the whole icloud system and did not found any kind if security, is there any kind of security that they have been provided. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Any suggestion s that could be useful for me here.

Hey mate , I am even more worried that no one in the internet world raised this issue except you ,I mean the first thing a user sees on the cloud computing environment is his security, or how safely he documents and files have been stored online. And I guess Apple is not considering doing this as this icloud technology is still in it s testing phase. I guess they would pay more attention when they launch the premium version of the same.

I am very sorry to hear that there is no https ,ssl or tls support for this but I will rather say that this feature would surely come in next quarter of the year and no first quarter of year. I also had the same concern and I contacted the icloud development team regarding it and they said that they are planning to swift to a secure http sooner or later in the next half of the year. So till then we have no option but use it as it is .

Until some security is added , to the cloud computing environment provided by the icloud team it would be a complete waste of time and money to store our important documents there. Above that anyone who has a in-depth understanding of the network could easily sniff way my username and password. So i just hope that apple is planning to release a secure http layer there and I just hope that the development issues of icloud get finished in the next quarter of the year.

Hey, I think you should know that apple is not the taking your security lightly in anyway, in fact it is the one who is planning to make your experience even more secure. It already has an http digest security layer for the authentication, and it does provide https connection for for external Windows server. It also has many other pages that still has a https connection like the one changing your password or paying a premium service , or adding a key to your keyring like MSn,ICQ etc , So I guess this much security is enough for a free version of icloud.

I never knew that even an Icloud had a security that provided the user‘s safety for the hackers and the spammers. I along with many other never noticed it as it was never visible to us, but the use of the http digest is the best we can expect from an beta and free version of icloud. I hope to see a better security in the next half year as they have always been doing since past few years .
