blue screen error occurs while optimizing the setting of wireless connection

Recently I got the Blue Screen Error when trying to get the optimal settings on the wireless connection. As this happened I tried to undo the setting, but it was not happening. The other thing is that the service pack that is present in my computer is the older version one and I am not able to get the new version ones. That is the service pack 2. Speed test gave me the speed of the 1.33Mbps down and 0.28Mbps up which I tried to optimize but I was not able to come out from this, so now how to come out from this and optimize the settings.

Do the following setting in the computer of yours to optimize the setting in it. In the encryption section use the WPA as WEP is very easy to crack, it takes almost an hour to do that. Also the speed that you are getting is been determined by the power of the wifi broadcast that is aimed by the directional antennas, the antenna that is present in the other hand help you to connect to the other end and help in increasing the receive signals, but it does not help the signals that is coming toward you. Also the antenna has the spread of the 30 degree at its best, so it should be directed in a proper manner.

You can optimize the setting in the windows vista with the help of the below direction that I have provided to you, Deactivate the Clear Type font. Now Click on Start and type then "regedit" in the Search box that is been provided.now Click on the Regedit icon at the top of the Programs menu. As you reach there, go in the arrow to the left of HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Now take the arrow beside Control Panel. Now Select the Desktop from the list of folders by clicking on it. In that Double-click FontSmoothingType. Change the setting of that from 2 to 1 and click OK. Select "Font Smoothing" and double-click it. Now after doing that disables the smooth scrolling. In that Select "Computer" from the Start menu and click "System Properties" from the menu bar. Now click on "Advanced System Settings" and go under Tasks. Select the "Advanced" tab and then click Settings. In that under the Performance heading. Remove the check from Smooth-scroll list boxes by clicking the box. After doing that click okay. Now disable the phishing feature on your browser that you are using this should be done if you are having antivirus present in it. Now in that select the tools option in your browser and locate the Phishing filter options. Once you have found it then disable the option and click ok.

Re: blue screen error occurs while optimizing the setting of wireless connection

Hi, I am also facing this kind of problems with my wireless connectivity; I think that the numbers of the router that is been present in the building is creating the problem. So my question is that is there any of the application or any of the method that will help me in this wireless connection to be optimized in a proper manner. The application that I am talking about should be either in Linux or in ubuntu but other are also welcome, as I have many of the operating system that is been present in my computer. The router that I am using is of net gear WGT624 v3, so please help me in this thing. The service provider tells me that the channels 1, 6, and 11 are non-overlapping, so I have limited channels to be used, so if channels aren't really a big concern, so I will be able to link to the other routers

In most of the countries I have noticed that a non-overlapping set of channels that are present which can be selected, as it is different in different location so based on the location that you are using it can help you in getting the wireless connection to be stable, so now to detect the interface you can use the wifi finder which can help you in getting the proper connection with the help of the utilities that are been present in it. If you are running a Unix operating system try the following thing sudo iwlist wlan0 scan | grep Channel.iwlist is used to scan for available wireless networks and to display additional information about the connection, also this kind of the information is not been displayed by iwconfig, iwlist displays the detail from all information related to this category, it also shows the information which is been displayed in iwconfig. This command is used to generate a list of nearby wireless access points and their MAC addresses.

If you want to find a clear channel, use a wifi analyzer which is a free application which is used for android powered smart phones with wifi present in it. It is an easy application that shows all networks ranges; also it shows the channel they are on and rates the channels from best to worst value of it. it works for low level tweaks. There may be something similar for the iphone or other phones but definitely something to look into if you have a Smart phone with wifi built in and still having this issue then you can go for something else also.
