Opera: Slow start and shutdown

Hi all, I have installed the Opera 10 on my computer and it is really giving me better browsing speed as compared to other browsers. The only problem that I am facing with that is it takes more time to launch the opera at start and also does the same when shutting down the browser. Other than this, there is no problem with that. Can you tell me that what is the problem with that and how can it be solved? Many of my other friends are also using the same but they are not having this issue then why it is the problem in my case. I am having Windows XP Service pack 2 installed in my computer. Please help me.

The sluggishness of shutdown looks unswervingly associated to the time Opera have been unwrap and the total of usage; if it have been unwrap just for a small time by means of one otherwise two tabs, shutdown will be quick. If it have been open for many days and several tabs have been opened throughout this phase then the memory usage for Opera will be a bunch superior. This is even if the entire the tabs have been stopped up and shutdown be able to obtain up to 10 minutes for my laptop. This is my view for this problem. Let’s see what the other people consider about this.

There is one way by which this issue can be resolved for you. If you want to do that then you will have to search for the rss mail folder. This you will find in the Opera > profile > mail. From here, open the accounts.ini and here, you will have to assign the entire preliminary Poll Delay to some higher value than 10. You may have to raise each value to 3 to 4. After that you will also have to disable Unite properly. See if that is able to solve the problem for you or not. I have seen any other users who were facing the same problem and doing the same solves the problem for them. I hope that these will the same for you and if not then there may be some weird issue with it.

There may be problem with the version of the Opera that you are using. I am using the Opera 11 beta version for me and that is not showing any problem with that. You can try all the possible solutions to solve the issue and see if that is able to solve the problem for you or not? If that is not able to solve the problem for you then you can search and download the setup for the Opera 11 and install that to your computer. I am sure that this not show you any problem with that as it is working fine in my case. So, good luck for your new setup.

The problem that you are facing may be due to bad installation of the opera in your system. There may be some of the files that are missing from that and that is the reason that it is taking more time to start and shutdown. My suggestion to you is to uninstall the Opera from your computer and reboot the system. After that, install that again. You can use a fresh copy of it so that it will avoid the issue that may be there in the setup that you are using to install. If that is having any problem with it and you are installing it again with the same setup then it is possible that the problem may persist in the system. I wish that this resolves the issue for you.
