VPN network is not working at home

I've installed Windows 7 on my laptop because the drive has crashed in 2nd week of December anyway and it is official. Now I have to say that there is in the network environment a few problems. I work in an environment with a PDC with SuSe 11 and Samba 3.2 was at the PDC, I have to register because Windows 7 is not allowed. I work under the working group KAISER (as before). My problem is that I can access through office through office computer. If I'm at home, however, it does not work. So please help me in order to fix this issue.

I am also facing this and in this I prompted by "Failed to reconnect to the production of H: with \ \ GS105 \ peter Microsoft Network: The network path was not found. The connection was not restored. " That's when all the other drives as well, no matter whether the computer with the PDC or with the group. Does anyone have any idea? Where can I get information about my current IP address? In the Explorer folder had tens of a castle. These folders are supposed to empty when I use a third-party products to go. Is it the folder options not know where you can check on and off? Please help me.

I can recognize IPv4 information only. IPv6 is empty. More important however is the fact that I was not on the "remote drive" behind my router can access. Sometimes I can ping a deposit on it, answer will come, but still I cannot access. When I fire up a parallel computer with XP or what is going on whatsoever, then no problems. I find the right "switch" not that I must turn. I can, for example, do not edit the hosts. He lets me save the file again. Can it be due to something like that?

First of all I agree to previous message. With access to the IP I meant that instead of, you \ HARD DRIVE \ share \ this time with, for example \ \ 192.168.0.20 \ share try. Depending on the used VPN client connection and this works ONLY with the IPs because the IPs can be dissolved in the case of VPN, the computer names but are trying to resolve locally. If then for example when using the VPN client from AVM Sun.

I do not know what you mean. When I normally put up in XP Explorer had, there are all the links. If these are not checked, I do this with either net use or just click on the corresponding row. Then the connection was established and I could normally work with the folders as if they were on the local network. That is not the case. I read something somewhere that Windows 7 requires at least Samba 3.3.4? Can you confirm this, or should it also work with 3.2 FF?
