Sometime it happens in the AOL mailbox that you change the font and send a mail , after that it regains the default format . If you have tried and checked all the tool bars and tried to alter the font but could not permanently save it. Then you have no option but to contact the support system of AOL or Del. Since you have a Dell system you can ask them and they will assist you considering your issue as a third party issue. But I think they will be able to help you but will charge you for the same. But if you do not want to wait in the long queue and call the support system you can choose the alternative to use a magnifier which will help you to enlarge the font of the AOL mailbox. In case if you are content with my resolution please revert back and share your experience.

To modify the Default Font on AOL 9 on on the xp mode you will have to go to Safety which you can locate on the upper menu bar settings as the name "Font & Text Settings", choose the requisite font/size, and save. You may fail to obtain "settings" from the menu bar. then in that situation you will be required to go to Keyword and type in choices. But you will have run the AOL a Virtual XP mode.

If you have the AOL application installed in your Dell system , you can click on the Preferences tab, there you will be able to see an option for the Font , you can make the selection over there and can change the type , the size of the font and change its color and background as well , yo do this you will have to click on Font and then click on Ok when you have changed the Font . If you are working on a web based mail, there is no option at the time of this question to position a default font. Verdana 10pt is the default font . If you attempt to make any change and send a mail, it will retreat back to its default when you use the same webmail next time , but I think it is a bug that changes the font automatically.
