Windows Live unable to connect to the mail inbox on Mac

Hello friends, I have my windows live account synced by means of my mailbox on my Mac. Though, it will no longer let me access my account when I try to get to it straightforwardly from the mail. I can though access my inbox by going away through safari and after that on to the hotmail.com. I frequently get the following message when I try an attempt to sign in from my Mac mailbox: "The Windows Live POP server "pop3.live.com" discarded the password for user"......" Enter your password once more or stop. I have continually entered the right password, so far it still fails to connect? What is the answer to this?

Try to reinstall and reconfigure account firstly on to your Mac Mail. View the solution for the correct POP3 settings: Send and Receive Windows Live Hotmail emails from a Mail Client. This is the more information to organize your account on your favored e-mail client:
    - for the POP3 Server: pop3.live.com (port 995)
    - for the SMTP Server: smtp.live.com (port 25)
Please Note that If port 25 has been uncreative in your network or by your ISP, you can locate SMTP port to 587 with TLS or SSL Encryption depending on the client in use.

Hi, please first you make sure that make use of the password as there is a restriction on several email clients on the password length that you can use that is of 16 characters. Also be sure that your setting is perfect. Because some mail client frequently throws password error for wrong SSL settings.

Please confirm to check the box that point outs that your outgoing server needs authentication (in the majority e-mail clients, this is not checked by default).
    - In the Username: your full e-mail address
    - In the Password: your Windows Live ID password
Also, our POP3 service needs that you use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) through the POP and SMTP connection and make use of SMTP authentication. This is to make sure that your e-mail address and password are not subject to interfering.
