How is the Ripwire Broadband Service of Digital Region

I have recently noticed that the Digital Region has gone online in our area. It offers a good technology in Internet so I am thinking that I should join. Because now it is offering the SuperFast Broadband that I have never imagined before. There is a small problem in our location. There is only an only a limited number of Service providers (ISP). Among those limited ISP only the ripwire seems to be offering residential connection. The offer connection speed is upto 40mbit down/10mbit up/uncapped for only £25. This sounds good. Is there any feedback about this who has used this before? What are the equipments we can get along with this connection? Is there any fault in this System?

I also heard about that now the Digital Region is moving or expanding its service to several regional areas. One of my friends if currently using this service and he is with DRBSY. He has no complain about it yet. But some says that they have contacted the Ripwire several times ago and they even didn’t get the connection yet. The ripwire promised that they will offer the connection as soon as possible for the best price and also higher speed than the DRBSY. For the current information they use VDSL router in an Alcatel-Lucent CellPipe 7130 residential gateway

There is small difference between the prices among DRSBY and the RIPWIRE ISPs. The DRSBY said that it will offer the 40mbps download/10mbps upload for only a £35 per month along with installation charge £75 Extra. It seems for me that it is considerably more expensive than Rip Wire. The RipWire is offering 40mbps download and 20mbps upload for £25/month + £75 installation charges.

I have asked some of Questions to one of my friend about the Ripwire service and he quoted me with several replies: The installation cost £75 is also includes a cable modem with some kind of wireless feature which can capable of connecting Ethernet on existing router or the Hub. The contact is for 12 months. In order to gain this service you must have a telephone line for your resident. I don’t have any idea about what type of Router the RipWire is offering, is the Gclass or the Nclass?
