Import Addresses from Hotmail, Outlook, Yahoo! into Gmail

Hi I have recently started using Gmail. And it has served me the best. The thing here is that initially I was using Hotmail and Yahoo and my major contacts are stored in them. And I need to upload all that contacts but somehow I am not able to do it. I don’t know what is wrong with it and also not able to find the way to fix it. Since I use Gmail frequently I need it updated as soon as possible. So please help me in this case to solve this problem and also let me know how to import contacts from outlook to Gmail.

I have gone through your problem and it seems to me that there is nothing to worry in it here are the steps that will help you to import your contacts into Gmail:
    • First of all you to save those particular contacts in the export, because before uploading any contacts you have to save it in the export.
    • Now you have to open Gmail and select contacts option.
    • After that you will find Import contacts option in it just click that option.
    • And then select the CSV file that you have to import.
    • Once the file is selected you have to clock on import button.
    • And then at last click on OK.

I hope that this will help you in importing the files.

Re: Import Addresses from Hotmail, Outlook, Yahoo! into Gmail

If you want to import the contacts from Hotmail or yahoo or any other communication site then there is nothing to worry about. The thing here is that Gmail has the tendency to auto save all the addresses that you enter once in the address bar of its. It means that if you will send mails to the addresses you want then the Gmail will automatically save that particular address. So in this case what you have to do is just copy all the addresses that you have I your other account and send an email to that email id’s and later on ensure that all the contacts are saved or not. If yes then it is fine and if not then you have to repeat the entire process again.

    • First of all create the CSV file and save that particular file in the Export.
    • Now what you have to do is just open your Gmail account.
    • Then you have to follow the contacts link on the topmost of the Gmail navigation bar.
    • After that you have to click on the import contacts option.
    • And then import the CSV file.
