Safari Freezing regularly Since Snow Leopard Update

Problem which I am facing can be clearly understood by the title by itself. I have updated to snow leopard and from then I found that both the safari and Firefox are freezing when I try to browse any of the pages from internet. Some of the time it works fine but for the ESPN home page it freezes every time. Is there anyone who has any idea that why this is happening to me and how can I fix this issue? One more thing that I must tell you that this happens to both of my work PC and my home computer. They both have very different specifications. Any help from anyone will be really appreciative. Thank you !!!

I think that you have to do a clean install to your system. If you want to do a clean install then you will be able to restore all the things from TM backup. But remember that you do this only if the issue is not getting solved by any other way. One of my friend was facing the same problem and he tired each and every possible solution that he knows but was not able to resolve the issue and finally he decided to do clean install and after that his problem was solved and it is opening in normal time and not freezing.

I have faced this problem a few days before. Whenever I try to access the websites then I found that the browser freezes and sometimes it also shows the poor performance of scrolling. I reinstalled it and nothing got change and the problem was still there. Finally I encountered that the problem was that I was using 64bit in my computer. To change that I selected the Safari in Finder and selected the Getinfo and there I changed it from 64bit to 32 bits. Once I did this then I restarted my computer and found that the problem was gone and I can access each and every page without any problem You can also try this and I wish that it will solve your problem too.

Why don’t you try the Snow Leopard Cache Cleaner and I think that it will take the issue off. Snow Leopard Cache Cleaner will help you improve your system performance because it has the setting s for tuning internet and file cache, , implementing ram disks, cached and stale data can also be cleaned and these are the things that are responsible for such problems in most of the time. To help optimize files and memory, it has another tool. Waste disk space can also be recovered from it because it can eliminate language localization files and slimming Universal Binaries. Download it from internet and install that in your computer. I hope that it will help you.

Most of the times for such problems I recommend people to a clean install of SL and it may fix this problem. I bought my new mac and booted that up with into Leopard and up upgraded to SL and after that before I do anything to my computer I got so many crashes and errors and regret my macbook purchase. After that I reformatted my machine and again installed SL and now everything is running smooth and fine. You should also try this and let the problem off.

If you have the backup system, whichever with TM or a clone then you have to just popup the system disk and after that you have to restart the machine and press and hold the ā€œCā€ button on your keyboard and it will show you the grey Apple icon pop up. Go to Utility menu and open the Disk Utility and then erase the main drive and Quit the Disk Utility. And now when you go for the installation, and it will ask you that if you want to restore your data from another computer, another volume, or a Time Machine backup when you first boot it. And then you have to select your option and after that it will ask that what the data that you exactly want to restore. Other way to do clean installation without any possible corruption from the previous system is to do clean install of the Operating System.

This may [problem with the internet connection that you are using. Are you using a Dial-up connection? I am asking this because this issue has been faced by many users who are using the Dial-Up connection and which causes the slow loading of the web pages or sometimes the system also get freezes by this. You should contact your service provider for this issue an I hope that they will help you solve this problem. This will be best option for you to know the reason for this problem also to get the solution for this. Good Luck !!!
