What Do I Need To Go Wireless?

I am planning to set the Wireless network but my problem is that i am a beginner for same and not having idea about the wireless network. What things do i need to set up the wireless network. If any one knows actually what i need to set up the Wireless network then please let me know about the same. Thanks in advance.

First let me know whether you are trying to set the wireless connection into the desktop computer or to the Laptop. If you are using the Desktop computer then i will advise you to buy a wireless PCI Card for the same so that you can get it working. Also you need a router with which you can configure the wireless network. You don't require anything for laptop. Laptop is pre-installed with the Wireless Card.

Thanks for the response. Let me tell you that i am trying to use the Laptop for the wireless connection and having one router also which is ATT 2701HG-B but no idea about setting it up. I don't think so that i need to get a Wireless Card. so now i have both the things just let me know how to set both the things to get the Wireless network.

When you have both the things available the all you have to do is to set the router with the help of the WEP keys. Configure the laptop with the modem by entering the IP of the router and then you will be able to work with the Wireless connection but make sure that you should enter the password to provide the encryption with the same.

If i am not wrong then the WEP keys is stands for "Wireless Encryption Key" which will activate the Wireless connection for same. But the problem is that i have looked every where but could not find the WEP key for the same router. I have Google for same bur could not succeeded. If you are having any idea regarding same then let me know.

The WEP keys you can find on the bottom of the Router. On the bottom, of the router you will find the barcode printed. In between two barcode you will get the WEP Number printed which you have to use with the router to encrypt the Wireless connection with the same. So do the same to found the number.
