How do I measure my internet download limit ?

when providers states that the download limit is 3GB or etc as they defined , do they indicates actual downloads or does things such as loading a movie on the youtube site and loading website count as downloads ? Or do they indicated that just download the available stuff ?

By the way, since I am moving for the internet to a 3GB monthly allowance, I wanted to measure out my current usage to a proper amount (3 gigabytes). Any help and suggestion would be appreciated.

Downloads means the entire thing up to and including the Temp Internet files....The web page on the internet when you visit for downloading then you can get the information onto your screen regarding the same .

One thing more, need to explain that your slow speed connection will be your worst link which indicates that you are able to have the entire bandwidth in the world... but if the termination point or a node in some other location in the path is slow... That is the maximum, you are moving to flow at.

I think you meant to say 3GB per month limit on the single one account, so by "download," the ISP means entire data dispatches from this to you, regardless if the data is in the format of email , web pages, pictures, streaming movies, files, etc.

A 3GB on the monthly basis cap is a rather minimum limit for the same , and I would recommend you make the research for your average daily Internet consumption before agreeing to the terms. You need to perform the installation of NetStat (freeware, small download), and find out what the capacity of data (particuarly "incoming" data) that you are actually replacing on an average daily basis.

Thank you very much to you all suggested me to solve my confusions . .....Fine , currently all I have to do is to just measure out how much I am right now using, and times it by 30, for the days of the month. I will finish the downloading procedure of that very program. In specific manner, I will watch to find out how much usage are getting reported when loading the youtube video .
