IE8 cannot download any files (pdf, jpg, etc.)

I am using the Windows Vista operating system and I am using the default browser, that is Internet Explorer 8. From the time I am using this browser, IE8 cannot download any files (pdf, jpg, etc.). The download starts fine, progresses normally. But, in the end, that is around 99%, it stops. I am not able to understand why this is happening with each and every game or song and even simple images. I require proper assistance on this problem immediately.

Normally such kinds of problems like IE8 cannot download any files (pdf, jpg, etc.) are caused because of the add-ons that are installed with the browser. Also, it is caused only with Internet Explorer. I suggest you to disable all these add-ons and then, try going about with the download. If this does not help, then resetting the browser will do the trick.

Why are you using the browser for downloads such as games, movies and songs? There are many downloader applications available in the market. Search for the same on the web and you will get many options. According to me, the Internet Download Manager is the best one because I too use the same and it works great. Make sure that you get its latest version, so that all the new features will be available for you.

I suppose that the problem regarding IE8 cannot download any files (pdf, jpg, etc.) is a browser-related issue. Have you tried out some other browser to eradicate this issue? I dont think that Internet Explorer is a recommended browser for downloads. It is better to use Mozilla Firefox or Opera in its place. Infact, there are no alternatives that may be as best as both these browsers.
