This can be done simply by checking the public WHOIS database. You can use any whois Service or the whois service provided by your domain registrar. The whois service will help you to keep track of your of expiration of all your domain details. There are a number of website which are available hope that this will solve your problem.

Your friends domain name has expired and, for one reason or another, you forgot to renew. You've just seen you and you are afraid of losing all your hard-won traffic. What to do?

Depending on your registrar, you may be able to recover the domain name. But some refuse. Those who agree might ask for a rate far higher than the normal renewal price. This is not negotiable. Count yourself lucky to be able to recover your domain name!

Remember that the responsibility to check the expiration date of your domain name is yours. Your registrar may contact you by email to notify you a few weeks beforehand, but it might as well do nothing. The ideal would be to renew for a long period since it is now possible to renew for 1,2,3,5 or 10 years.

You can check the domain name date online and this is the only way to keep track of all such important details. Hence i would suggest to use Google for that purpose. Most probably there is a service known as whois service and it can help you in this matter. you simply need to provide the domain name and then it will provide all the details.

Contact, in writing, ask your registrar to renew the expired domain name but do not be passive. Call him or contact him through the system of customer service available on its website. Be vigilant. If the domain is not renewed within the next 24 hours, return to the charge for you to confirm in writing that it will. Ask also the time required to do so.

Your site will come back online after it has been renewed unless your hosting plan has expired at the same time. Is often the case. People buy their domain name at the same time they order their hosting package. Then the two find themselves in default at the same time. Always have a backup copy of all content on your website, databases, etc.. as a package that comes forward is often "empty" by the host if you are in default of payment.

    hi,

once your domain name gets expired, it goes into a grace period for 30 days. after your domain is expired you can still get it within 30 days & you can contact the registrar by sending an email to them. After 30 days you have to check if the domain name is available or not. if yes you can try to get it
