Game plan upgrade without intimation

Hi,
I have a 1 mbps of internet line of Aritel. I am paying Rs. 2,222 fir 1 mbps freedom unlimited plan which offers 100 GB fair usage policy support. I had chosen this plan to play on demand games online. I had found that the same was available for Rs. 1699 for atleast 6 months. It has properly displayed on the site and I had not received any intimation from Airtel about this. My bill has being increased automatically without my knowledge. After long, useless and multiple conversation with airtel I had not got any support here.

That is right. I personally believe that Airtel Customer Service is useless. Every time a new guy picked up the phone and ask for entire information with the name of person whom I had spoken before. They also does not provide their name so that we can do some hardwork to track that person who know much about our problem. This is very unethical.

It is possible to get refund for the amount which you had paid. You will need to put more time in talking with customer support service. In my case I had downgraded to a lower plan where they had accidentally charged me the full amount. I got that refund on my next bill back. But that took a long time. Atleast you can give out a try for the same or launched a written complain to their main office.

I am not happy with the Fair Usage Policy of Airtel. This is really wrong where suddenly your data transfer limit is reduced. I download a lot here and now my limits are set to 4Gb a day. This really low now. I think people should come against this Fair usage policy and there must be any other alternative for that. Other companies does not impose such restriction

I too agree with you about the response provided by the Customer Service department. It is also not good that your plan changes automatically without your concerned. Airtel guy must first provide us the information no upgrade and downgrade of plan. So this makes necessary for use to keep on checking the site of Airtel for current changes made by them.

The Fair policy usage will definitely hamper its customer interest. I had not noticed other companies like MTNL or TATA going for such option. May be Airtel guys might lacking some resources. There is also not a problem in getting a double speed which upgrades automatically. But in case of charges that must be first informed to all the users.
