I am also using Frip TV for viewing TV on my PC. It is a opensource based IP TV player. It is supported and runs on Windows XP and Linux. IT supports h264 transport and MPEG2 streams. The latest version of this software is 0.20. So i will make sure it will also run on your laptop. Try and reply if you found any issue.

If you have good internet connection , you have to use Free TV in your internet browser. There are many sites they provide free TV service, You just need to plug in for display. You do not need to install any software or hardware for using this. If you found any issue, reply me.
