The wifi network terminology

In wifi the same data can happen in several different paths to the receiving station with time lags. That is why the encoding sequence is used to avoid duplication of information. There are new technologies emerging in the same part. But is wifi safe to transmit important data. I think this will make more easy for hackers to capture the transmitted signal. I need some information on the terminology of wifi network.

Wifi in a office or business network is very cost effective. There are not wires so you receives more stability. The only thing which creates issue is extending the network with constraints. The second option that comes to mind is sharing an Internet connection. The first solution is to use a PC as a "gateway" connection. It connects the first PC to a traditional modem, and the second computer accesses the network via Wi-Fi connection throughout the first PC. But it is Inexpensive & there is No wired connection.
