What is rds.yahoo.com?

I don't know if its the right section to post this query, my problem is whenever i do yahoo search and click on search results , yahoo redirects me to rds.yahoo.com . and my browser keeps me wait for long time , i'm using firefox. How can i turn off it?

How much time does the firefox takes? there is nothing wrong with yahoo search, rds.yahoo.com is the redirector from yahoo. Wheeever you search something on yahoo instead of displaying a regular anchor link to your site in their results, they display a link through rds.yahoo.com with a bunch of junk on the query string that redirects from their site to you desire result site.

Yes it can be quite frustrating especially if you are using Yahoo regularly to search the Internet. For firefox users there is the way to get rid of it. All you need is the Greasemonkey addon in fireofx. and there is Greasemonkey script called Yahoo! Redirect Remover script with can solve this problem for you. The Yahoo! Redirect Remover script removes the redirects from the search results including Yahoo video search and virtually every other Yahoo.com page that is using those kind of redirects.

First download and install the Greasemonkey add-on before the Yahoo! Redirect Remover script can be installed and used. This script removes redirections on Yahoo! Search links. Now you can see visited links in the color defined in Firefox options and follow links quickly even if Yahoo! is slow.

I think its the yahoo search engine page, as if you typr in address bar rds.yahoo.com , it will give you a yahoo search engine page. And if you have ever searched anything using yahoo, you will see those search links pop up. Rds.yahoo.com does not work by itself.
