IP Address blocks MS uses for updates

    Heya friends,

I was trying to put those ip Addresses that MS uses for Windows Update to my firewall rule for Windows Update one at a time.Which of course the updater that uses svchost.exe on port 80 to download the updates. So all am asking is that have anyone know where I can find a complete list of the ip Addresses MS uses for Windows Update?

    Thanks in advance....

Dude,Your IP address is recognized by your internet service provider. you cannot alter it. There is some application that may "mask" your IP address but none work very effectively since everything that comes into your computer has to have the correct IP address in order to find you.

type at the prompt: ipconfig help
    there you see the commands:
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew
    etc.

You don't need to change your IP address. besides, why would you want to change it if you don't even know what it is, or what it's for? just received this list from MS Tech support after I wrote to find out why all of a sudden I get an error instead of updates.anyway here are the URLs they said should be added to the trusted sites in Internet Explorer:
    http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
    http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com
    https://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com
    http://Download.windowsupdate.com
