It is really quite a shock to see your high page rank site suddenly disappear from Google. Usually there is no warning for being banned or penalized by Google except for the steady drop of sales and visitors to your site.Google doesn't generally penalize or ban sites based on who links to you, but you can be penalized based on who you link to.A Google ban can also be more subtle. The pages remain in the Google database, but they end up at page 722 for all relevant search queries. If they had good rankings before, this is more likely than not caused by the wrath of the world's mightiest search engine.Cloaking can also be the reason of get banned by Google. Cloaking is Web pages created just for search engines, where it delivers one version of a page to a Internet user and a different version to a search engine. Also make sure to never spam. This involves sending a large amount of unsolicited mail via your domain mail server. Although the legality of mass mailing is a grey area, sites which do this deserve to be banned by every search engine.

Now a days many webmasters concentrate on their Google Pagerank rather than receiving the amount of quality traffic. So Excessive Links also matters in this process. You should try not to place too many outbound links on a single page. So to get back to Google, follow the guidelines and do things the right way. There is no easy path or shortcut to high rankings in Google or any other search engine.
