Re: Where firefox stores cookies ?

For windows xp the location is C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xyz.default where xyz is some random-appearing string.

As you must know the you have to unhidden the Application Folder first to reach the xyz.deafult cookie file. To make it Unhidden go to tool>folder options>view> Show hidden Files and Folders or simply copy paste the above pah in address bar till \Application Data .

You should be able to edit your cookies from notepad, but since they are all in one text file, it is easier to delete your cookies from firefox itself.
Tools->Options. Then, select the Privacy tab. You'll see a button called "Show Cookies". On the Cookies dialog that comes up, you can remove the cookies one by one. It doesn't allow multiple selections, unfortunately. That would speed the process up.

You can clear the cookie fron inside the browser it self, simply go through

Tools->Options->Privacy->Cookies-> Show Cookies and Then Select remove All Cookies.

Use the Show Cookies window to view and remove cookies.

    1. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Tools menu, and select Options...
    2. Select the Privacy panel.
    3. Click the Show Cookies... button

This window lists all cookies currently stored on your computer, grouped by site. You can expand the sites and select a cookie to display more information about it. You can also search for a site or a cookie name by typing in the search bar.

To remove a cookie from the list, select it and click Remove Cookie. To remove a site's cookies, select the site and click Remove Cookie(s). To wipe all cookies, click Remove All Cookies.
