    Firefox adblock.exe ad blocker

I surf a lot of Internet pages and so come across many websites. Many of them have virus, spyware, adwares etc. Because of that I have to format my PC quiet often which is just irritating. So I want to use some ad blockers like adblock.exe on my Firefox browser. Is there anyone out there? Please help!

There are many ad blockers available on Firefox browser. One of those include Adblock Plus. Install Adblock Plus removes all those ads and banners on the internet that often take longer to download than everything else on the page. All you need to do is right-click on a banner and choose "Adblock" from the context menu - the banner won't be downloaded again. Maybe even replace parts of the banner address with star symbols to block similar banners as well. Or you select a filter subscription when Adblock Plus starts up the first time, then even this simple task will usually be unnecessary: the filter subscription will block most advertisements fully automatically. Minimal requirements: Firefox 2.0, Thunderbird 2.0.

"Facebook AdBlock" is a Firefox extension that will help you deal with annoying banners and ads present on Facebook. But the only known issue with this is when switching info/wall/pictures tabs inner profile tabs, but ,according to developers, this will be rectified very soon.

You can also use "Firefox Ad Killer" to block ads. This is also a Firefox extension. An easy-to-use tool to permanently ban specific annoying ads from your web experience. No typing required - just point and click. The Firefox Ad Killer gives you thumbs-up and thumbs-down icons on all kinds of banner ads, so you can target the annoying ones and prevent them from being displayed. To use, just move your mouse over any banner ad. You should see a small "AdKiller" bar, where you can choose ThumbsUp or ThumbsDown. ThumbsDown will make that particular ad not appear in your browser anymore. Works with image, animated, and Flash-based ads.

If you kill an ad by mistake, and want to get it back, just click in the blank space where the ad used to be. You'll be prompted to get it back. Ad Killer tries to automatically recognize ads and give you the option to give feedback, but it's not yet 100% accurate.
