MSN Live Messenger keeps shutting down

Whenever, I start my PC, MSN Live Messenger opens. But after sometime, I get the following error message - The program has encountered an error and must shutdown. Sorry for the inconvenience. and then, MSN Live Messenger will shutdown. Does anybody have any idea about this problem ?
Any suggestions please...

There might be some problem either with your program i.e MSN live messenger or with your web browser.... By the way, which web browser are your using ? Try to open the messenger with some other web browser and check if the problem continues. If the problem continues, then there might be an error in your messenger program itself. Clean it using a suitable Antivirus.

Do you have any AntiVirus installed in your system ? If yes, then which antivirus program are you using ? I would recommend you to get either Norton or Kaspersky. These are the powerful antivirus programs capable of removing any kind of errors/viruses..
