Uninstall and reinstall windows live messenger. If you are using any beta version, then update it to full version. Try the Connection Troubleshooter:
    • Open Messenger
    • Click Tools on menu
    • Go to Options
    • Check Connection

Verify that Messenger is enabled through the firewall. If you disabled the firewall in the past, it still may be blocking Messenger, try to restart the firewall. Also try removing the firewall program that is installed to verify that it is not causing a problem even if it is disabled.

    Hi Ruri16,
Which version of the windows live messenger are you running? Do you have any firewall installed on your pc, if so try disabling it. Try installing the latest version of the windows live messenger or downgrading it if it is a new version. As another workaround, I suggest you to run Windows update on your computer and install all the updates available and check for the issue, as this might also resolve the issue.
