This problem might occur if there is huge number of Internet files. To resolve this, follow the steps give below

    1. Start Internet Explorer

    2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

    3. Click the General tab.

    4. Under Browsing History -> Temporary Internet files, click Delete Files.

    5. When you are prompted to delete all temporary Internet files, click OK.

Restart the Internet Explorer and check the status.

If it still doesn’t work then go to Advanced Tab on the Internet Options and click Reset. This will reset the Internet Explorer to the factory settings.

Alternatively you can also check under Registry.

Click Start -> Run -> Regedit -> Ok

Navigate to the following location and make sure the setting is appropriate.

    Otherwise change it accordingly

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.jpg Content Type should read “image/jpeg”

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.jpeg Content Type should read: image/jpeg

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.gif Content Type should read “image/gif”

If the registry setting is appropriate then

Click Start -> Run -> Cmd -> Ok

Type the following commands one by one and press Enter

    regsvr32 /i shdocvw.dll
    regsvr32 /i shdoc401.dll
    regsvr32 webvw.dll
    regsvr32 thumbvw.dll
    regsvr32 /i mshtml

    Problem solved.
