    Project 2003 - piecework rates

New to MS Project (2003) so maybe this is a basic question. I don't wish to use days to work out how long a resource takes to complete a task but would like to use areas and lengths. For example a farmer ploughs 3 hectares in a day. How would I alter the settings in Project to do this?

You can try to input the Start date & set the duration to 1 day, you will have your finish date on the same day at 5PM. Go to tool- options- view, change the date format to show the time, e.g "February 5 2011, 12:32". You can see the start & finish time of the same activity on the same day.

Not quite what I was wanting. Using the farmer analogy where he ploughs 3 hectares in a day I would like to input the area for him to plough, say 9 hectares so that the prog can tell me it would take 3 days to do the work. How does one do that?
