Error on Change Mail Quota Size

We use an Exchange 2003 server with Outlook 2003 clients well. We limit the size of user mailboxes in AD. As actually we ran into a problem: We have a size on the exchange server in the manager which is 584MB, while the size indicated on the Outlook client is 234 MB. It appears that the size shown is correct in Outlook. We have therefore initiated maintenance on the database:
    - Verifying database integrity and defrag with eseutil
    - Checking and correcting data with INSINTEG
But the problem is still present. I would have the option to export the brutal box pst, the remove the server and recreate it but it does show me why I have this problem. Does anyone has already encountered this problem? Please reply. Thank you in advance.

To determine what happens when the quota limit approaches, you can configure a notification to each step. Indeed for each step configured, you can send an email automatically to the user, record an event, run a particular command or run a script or generate a storage report. For example, you want to warn the user and the administrator when it reaches 85% of its limit by email and then again at 90% to 95%. It is recommended that its quota from a template.

You need to defined quota template storage limitation, the type of quota (hard or app) And a set of notification may be generated when the limit approach. The advantage of using models is that if you base your allowances on it, you can automatically modify all edits the model, which saves you considerable time. This allows simplify the administration of quotas by not defining a central point management.

You can create a quota template that determines the free space available for each user, for example 200 MB for their records. Then you create your quota you based on this model. The day you want increase the size by passing 300 MB for example, simply changing the model and update Automatically all quotas have it as a template, allowing you always have a uniform architecture and above all save time.

The first thing to do is to decide if we want from an existing model, in this case in section Copy properties from quota template (optional)"Choose from the list drop the quota you want to copy and click the button "Copy. From there all the properties are completed and you no longer to change your settings.

To create a new quota based a model (Which is recommended), as this will allow to have centralized management of your quotas by not updating the model in case of need rather than your personal allowances so. Under the node "Quota Management"Click"Quota Templates" in order to display the list in the details panel. Select your model and by right clicking it, click . A new window will open. Select or type the folder path which you want to apply your quota. Then leave the option "Derive properties from this quota template"To apply the parameters of the model. bottom of the window you can see a summary of the properties, if you are agree click the button "Create".

If you want to create a new quota without you based on model, simply right click on "Quotas"And then click on "Create Quota ..."Then the same window but in the second game, select the option "Define custom quota properties".You can check that your quota has been correctly created by going in "Quotas"As the first node, a new line must be added with all its information. (If you do not see, use "Refresh").
