Creating an Addon Domain Using PHP

Using Addon Domains, you can host more than one different domains with different website content, all within the same disk space and bandwidth of one cPanel. To create a newer domain name with its own website, you have to do the suggested below :

Just Login to your cPanel and click Addon Domains, under Domains. You will get three fields and then cPanel asks for when creating an Addon Domain.

    1. New Domain Name: Enter the new domainname.com, but do not put http or www in the name.

    2. Username/directory/subdomain Name: It will be the directory cPanel creates in your public_html directory. Commonly, you need to ensure the name you have given does not already exist as a folder in public_html, but cPanel will automatically advice about the name and we recommend you stick with the suggestion.

    3. Password: Enter desired password that you need here. This password is used for an FTP account that is automatically created by cPanel. You likely will not ever requires this password, so we suggest picking a random password and forgetting about it.

Creating an Addon Domain Using PHP

Do you require to create hundreds are even thousands of addon domains in your cPanel account? I have a free PHP script (attached in the attachment section )which will save your time in the complex creation of add-on domain . The script uses cPanel’s API 2 functionality.

    To work with this script:

Your host should be compatible with the PHP 4 or later versions or PHP. Add your domain list to domains.txt (included in download). I would suggest not doing more than 50-100 domains at a time. I have just added 105 domains to one HostGator account without any issues . Start small, maybe only try adding the first three to be sure all is going proper and fine. To use the script, make a new folder off of one of your sites hosted on the same cPanel account. Then after upload addonhelper.php, domains.txt, index.php, style.css into the created folder.

Re: Creating an Addon Domain Using PHP

This is some simple concepts for this and you need follow these. From your domain name control panel select "forward". Type in the whole URL to the folder you have your new site in on your hosting account that would be something as http://www.Techarena.in/newsite.

That will forward the domain to the exact directory, but the URL in the viewer's address bar will seems absolutely as http://www.Techarena.in newsite, so you should also "mask" the forward. Masking a forward will make the forward look like anything you need to the viewer. For example. http://www.Techarena.in

How to add a new domain name to my account

Thanks for your kind suggestions. I already have one site for that I paid appropriate amount for hosting and it's a simple question that I need to be the owner of another one domain in the same account. I have already paid for Hosting for another domain on this Host and I desired to add second one, I do not need to forward it.

Re: Creating an Addon Domain Using PHP

Primarily, you have to validate that your account will suggest you to go on with add-on domains. You can test it in the cpanel. take a look in the left column inside general account information. It should have a line that suggest Addon Domains 0/2 or something like as. Just be sure that it does not say 0/0, that means you are unable to create add-on domains with this account. You can talk to your hosting company and they will be happy to add it for a small fee or you can upgrade you account.

Assuming you can situate at least one addon domain, then you require to first click on sub-domains button and situate a sub-domain. The domain or directory where you decided to install word-press can be known anything. It does not have to match your domain, but it might help you if you setup more than one domains to have them close. Now, click on the addon domains icon in cpanel and issue the new domain name, for "username/sub-domain name:" put in the sub-domain that you have just created above and provide it a password.

Click add. That should do it. Except for the Name server changes that I indicate in my reply to your other thread. Let me be aware if you are running with some more issues.
