    Manage properties of access internally

    Hello,
    How someone can be managed internally properties Access?
    Let me explain:
    I entered data with a specific mask (for recognition) in the properties of my Access database. I have a tool (UNIX) who reads my files and reference properties (it only search for specific strings in the binary).
    So far, so good. But I notice that when I upgrade these properties in Access, it does not replace a simple but sometimes keeps the old data. Compaction of the base appears to decrease this behavior, but not always. Any help on this will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    That's what surprises me most. On the other hand and foo foo are overused

    Tries with names without possibility of duplicate
    son sometest
    and text
    then unpress
    *
    and tell us what is left after compaction. And if you have any more problems in this then please do post back.

    Hello,
    Even I have a similar kind of a problem. I will indicate the true values then properties.
    (Property = Value)
    Code:

    $ Application = Application: 53 $
    $ Process = Process: 4 $
    Date = $ Date: 2009/12/12 12:27:29 $
    Author = $ Author: $ e9003350
    $ Use = Use: $ Reconciliation
    $ Revision = Revision: 0.1 $
    So little test:

    Hello,
    Here I have something with me. In rereading the post I just made believe I have found. In fact the old stuff is examples that I put in my comments module. Compaction seems sufficient: the data always appears 2 or 3 times, but each time the same, so it's not too serious. There's a VBA command to start compacting?

    Hello,
    Actually no, it's not good.
    I not gaff yesterday but I still have a dual property with 2 different values (Id at the beginning and end):
    Code:

    Code:
        $ Id: myDB.mdb 1.6 2009/12/07 $
         $ test: 123 $
         $ test: 123 $
         $ Application: 52 $
         $ Process: 5 $
         $ Date: 2009/12/13 14:34:45 $
         $ Author: $ e9003350
         $ Use: $ Reconciliation
         $ Revision: 0.6 $

    Re: Manage properties of access internally

    Hello,
    Thank you, I do not know that. But it did not work either. All I have managed to do is create a new database, import only the form (and not the module), create a new module and make a copy and paste the old one, and here I am more traces of my old comments. And also any more help on this will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
