CAD software for modelling own house

I am looking forward to renovate my house and I have heard that there some softwares which allow you to model your house as you want. I am thinking to use any of such available softwares. Can any one suggest any such softwares. I am having a desktop computer that runs on Windows Vista and 1 gigs RAM memory. Suggest any two dimensional or three dimensional software which can be used for modeling the house.

There is a software available for designing purpose known as Project Cooper. This Project Cooper is a sketching application.
