Design Notes are like sticky that you can place your files. They can take notes on the status of a file, to make small memos, etc. To add one, simply position yourself mode Creation, to right-click and choose Design Notes for the page. Then you can enter a description, state and other useful information. Check the Show to open the file if you want the Design Notes opens each time you open the file.

By the below listed steps you can make Dreamweaver to open last modified files automatically in your computer. All you have to do is to configure the settings in Preferences properly. Just click on the Edit tab and then select Preferences in the menu. No go to General and then click on Options document. You can see a option with a check box next to it. It states Reopen documents on startup. Select it and then restart to check it.

Is it possible to open files with extensions not handled by Dreamweaver for example .Htaccess, phtml, etc. Sometimes Dreamweaver tells you Cannot find a valid editor for this file extension for files with an extension not supported by Dreamweaver. If your files are simply text files that can be opened with any editor, just specify. Then select Edit > Preferences > File Types / Editors. Then enter the extensions you want to open with Dreamweaver and the one you want to open with another editor.
