What are the different applications of the data warehousing? Are applications of the data ware housing is similar with the data mining?

The basic requirement of the Warehousing includes technical expertise and business.

Data Warehouse used as EIS(Executive Information System) as well as DSS (Decision Support System).

Other than this application I don't know anything about data ware housing.
