Where to start programming from

Hi. I am an amateur in programming and has no knowledge about the same. I know that it is about developing a software application. So I am interested in learning them. I do not know from where and how to start programming. I have heard basically about programming languages like C, C++, Java, HTML and all. But I am confused of what to opt for. Please help.
