Need Free Space Cleaners for Windows Machine

First of all I am looking for a good piece of software that will automatically allow me to erase unused portions of my computer hard drive so that after period of some time it should automatically clear the unused spaced on the hard drive and in the other way to reduce the effort to further decrease his chances of being a victim of ID theft. I was wondering if anyone knows of an open source piece of software that can do this? Or else if it is not possible then any such software which could do the cleaning on behalf of my code.
