Excel 2007, Formulas changed to =#N/A

    Hello to all,

I have Windows XP installed on my machine and I have Office 2003 and recently upgraded to Office 2007.

I do all the calculation related to my business on excel sheet, A week before i worked on the excel and saved all the work. Yesterday when i checked that excel sheet it displays the cell of the calculated amount with formulas #N/A errors.

When i saw that error i changed the formula once again manually and corrected all over again.Later I closed the file, and tried opening it again, it gives me error suggesting "Disable Micros", what kind of errors am getting,i get confused over here.

Please suggest me what to do,how do i get rid of this.

    Thanks

I can only guess that VLOOKUP shows up as an error because of preceding errors within the range of the formula. VLOOKUP has always been a standard formula.

Here is a guess on a workaround. Save the files as xlsx. So your 2003 clients can open, here is the link to Microsoft's file converting utility.

NOTE: be sure to read the instructions on the download page. There are required updates needed prior to installing.

I have been encountering this problem for months and thought it was me. Decided to google and am happy that I am not alone - but not happy that there does not appear to be a solution. My data shows properly in the cell but appears as =#NA in the formula tool bar. It seems to happen only when I use a drop box formula and not when I type in a formula myself. I save all of my files in a compatibility mode because I may have to email them. I think I will try saving them in the 2007 version only and resave it as a compatible file for emailing and see if that helps. These are fresh files and not files started in 2003 and resaved.
