    Nokia X2-00 Mobile Phone

The new Nokia X2 comes as the basic range of the line led by the best selling Nokia X6 although in this case with a more humble aspirations. We talked about a mobile phone designed for traditional use, calls, messages which have added advanced features for video playback and a camera with 5 megapixel sensor, if it lacks autofocus, do a good job in photographs from a meter. Flash even has LED to illuminate the scene in adverse situations and even for use as a flashlight.

It is important to note that this is a financial terminal, $154 free we can buy directly from Nokia. Therefore, we analyze (review for whites) the specifications within the category in which it is located. It is a Symbian S40 mobile, a veteran but very solid, easy to use and allow a degree of customization acceptable and can set the screen to our liking, with the shortcuts you use most, and so on.

    Camera

With access to social networks, and Nokia's Ovi services in the room, always penalized by the use of Symbian S40, Nokia X2 boasts camera. The sensor incorporates is 5 megapixel with LED flash and a useless 4 × digital zoom. It is also capable of recording video with a refresh of 20 fps. its camera can take 5 megapixel photos or videos of 320 x 240 pixels in MP4 format . Autonomy itself is a factor which can make this Nokia X2 chest. Although the battery has less than 1,000 mAh capacity, has a talk time of 810 minutes, 540 hours standby and more than a day of resistance with fantastic music.

    Music Phone

The Nokia X2 follows the trail of good music phones in the XpressMusic range of the Finnish company. In this case the Nokia X2 boasts an excellent finish but the design is too classic. This phone will not be an ordeal to take time with us. Their physical data are 111 × 47 × 13.3 mm in the field dimensions, considering only 81 grams. The other specifications of the Nokia X2 are serving their primary purpose: music. Thus, the touch screen is not satisfied with a 2.2-inch diagonal and low resolution (320 × 240 pixels). Below are a classic keyboard, a directional control and the most interesting, keys to control the music player on the sides.

Its music features are complemented by integrated speakers, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR with A2DP stereo audio profile and FM radio. X2 If we can say that Nokia is well prepared for the song, not so with connectivity. Not seek WiFi or 3G on this phone because it neither is nor what we need for the user profile you are targeting not take advantage nor a phone where you're going to capitalize on the Internet. Like many models of the XpressMusic range, Nokia X2 is a monoblock phone with honorable performance in terms of music.

    Design

The Nokia X2 has dedicated buttons for audio playback on its flanks. These, of poor quality plastic, not very aesthetic, but still effective. They can start the MP3 player and control music, like the terminals in the Xpress Music range. Multimedia side, the X2 has an autofocus camera of 5 megapixels, with flash, which also serves as flashlight. The pictures taken are of good quality, even in dark environments, where the flash powerful enough, fills his role perfectly.

    No 3G

In terms of technical features, the Nokia X2 loads a 48 MB memory expandable via a microSD slot, a 2.2-inch LCD screen with QVGA resolution (240 x 320 pixels), and Bluetooth connectivity. For cons, the Nokia X2 was deadlocked on 3G. This lack is not detrimental to a mobile category, especially as it allows for an autonomy of 26 days standby, 27 hours audio playback and 12 hours in communication. In summary, the Nokia X2 is a fairly basic mobile phone optimized for music and photos through an MP3 player quality, and an integrated digital camera of 5 megapixels.

    Application and Supports

This system allows the execution of Java applications and games that can be purchased through OVI Store. The board comes loaded with many applications: converter, world clock, web search, countdown, stopwatch, world clock, Ovi Store, My Nokia, Share on Ovi, Flickr, Opera Mini, Facebook and flashlight. One of the interesting points are the multimedia playback options offered by this terminal, which promises a range of up to 26 hours continuous music playback, and features dedicated controls for it. In the picture above you can also see the difference between the two models available, silver-blue and black-red. Supports audio formats MP3, AAC, eAAC, eAAC + and WMA and offers a way to use NSP expanded its two powerful stereo speakers.

The new Nokia X2 allows playback of MPEG-4, 3GPP, H.263 and H.264 codecs and Terminal connectivity is becoming somewhat limited exclusively to GPRS (up to 296kbps), Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and microUSB (the connector is on top under a cover and also serves as a charger).

The terminal has interesting features for a mobile financial range. We discuss the possibility as a Bluetooth music player, plug the car handsfree or use the LED flash as a flashlight, but it is not unique. Wake up your application can connect the FM radio to wake up with our favorite station, with headphones connected as they make antenna.

As for connectivity to on-line services because we have to mention that only has GPRS connection, so speed is subject to it. However it offers tight integration with services like Facebook, or Flickr to host pictures you take with the phone directly. In addition you can access the Nokia Ovi service.

    Re: Nokia X2-00 review

    Advantages

    • Lightweight. Mobile is a really light, and hand or making calls is really comfortable with it. Is comparatively much more comfortable in the hand than an X3-02, since its form is not as lateral wedge. With the X3-02 you always have the feeling that you are going to drain from between the fingers, which the Nokia does not pass X 2-00.
    • Central navigation key. Very comfortable to use, good touch and made of plastic. It is practically the same as Nokia used in the 3500 "classic."
    • Radio. Incorporates an FM radio that can be heard without having the headphones on, ie the phone features an internal antenna for radio. I tested in different situations, and the reception quality is really good. It might seem otherwise, but is able to receive signals from the transmitters rather better than many conventional radios. This also helps the great speakers, located on the back, creating a sound clean and high quality.
    • Improved side keys for quick access. Unlike the Nokia 5300 (and the 5310 I think, too, and some others) the side keys to directly access functions like music player, are made of plastic, not rubber. The problem is that it be rubber, using, apart from dirty, broken or came off with relative ease. In the X2-00 Nokia appears to have been addressing this issue, and are much more positive. Logically, I have not tried to try to break them on purpose, but at first sight and touch seem much better than the old XpressMusic.
    • Flashlight. The X2-00 features a handy flashlight (it does is activate the flash) that can be turned on and off by holding down the star key (*).
    • Aluminum rear cover. That is not polished, but looks very nice. Is identical in construction and finish that incorporates the X3-02.
    • USB OTG: The device is able to read external devices through technology USB On The Go.

    Disadvantages

    • Keyboard. It is visually attractive, with shiny plastic surface and completed in a single piece. The downside is that it is very easy to get confused, especially when writing SMS, press. The key "7" is particularly problematic, because if you do not press right in the center (sometimes you have to do with the nail) is easier than in those who are skilled, symbols appear the bottom button. In addition to the contours with each other all the keys to divide (a thin line), the keyboard is not very refined, so it is very difficult to adjust to it. People with hands large have particular problems with it.
    • Camera key. A point clearly improved the camera key is located on the side of the phone. Is very sensitive and, if this were not enough, it is also very large (very "long", to be exact) and is very easy to inadvertently activate the camera while driving or just while you take it (as it is situated on the side). I think that Nokia should have considered a better solution, such as deleting that key (do not spend anything) to configure it to do other things (or to disable it, as in other Finnish mobile home) or, ultimately, make it considerably smaller. As it is ready now is a torture on it, for a little stronger than the side you pick, will be activated.
    • Battery. Only 860mAh, which is the battery capacity is clearly very little if we abuse the music player or video for a while. Of course, the battery light is something that works for the mobile to be extremely light, but it would have been wrong 1.000mAh having included a capacity at least. Given the wide use of mobile phones made today, using a smaller battery that severely limits the user capacity, and forces us to plug many more times than we would like, which can become a real nuisance . Especially in this phone that supposedly is designed for that: to play music nonstop
    .

    Conclusion

A body of quality at a very attractive price. No Wi-Fi features, nor 3G, but enjoys a very friendly S40 firmware and customizable. Move also all your applications and components quickly and added extra features (radio with internal antenna, flashlight, a good camera with flash ...) very significant. He is also grateful that many of the approaches and applications "junk" (direct access to Facebook, Flickr or Ovi Shop) you can remove them, leaving space for other things you can get more. All this packaged in a finely finished product. No doubt a mobile recommended.

Finally, it should be noted that in Spain, the Nokia X2-00 Nokia sells it with the data cable USB gift. As in other countries do not, many cable boxes come with separate (ie not included in the box itself). If you buy it and you do not get cable, ask him recalled to the seller in Spain since cable does come with USB free. In addition to cable, the pack contains a charger, memory card of 2 Gbs (inserted in the terminal), of course, battery, user manual and headphones (X2-00 has a 3.5 mm jack).
