    Accelero Xtreme 8800

Accelero Xtreme is designed for nVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra, GTX, GTS (G80) .The Accelero Xtreme 8800 heatsink measures 25.6 x 8.8 x2.1 cm and weighs 440g.One hundred and seven fins make up the majority of the unit but there is also a copper GPU block with five heatpipes. Two of these pipes transfer heat to the fins on the left and three which pass it to the back. Arctic Cooling pre-applies MX-2 paste on the GPU block prior to shipping, MX-2 is a high quality compound so this is a great inclusion.

On the back side more brilliant design features are unveiled. The baseplate is a mix of copper and aluminum. On top of the GPU sits a small piece of copper which ensures fast heat transfer aways from the GPU die. Other components like memory and I/O chip are cooled by the aluminum part. All you have to do is install some thermal pads or thermal paste.

Cooling of the heatsink is handled by the three 80mm fans which are fluid dynamic bearing models. These fans and their bracket add to the dimensions of the unit by 25.2 x 10 x 3.2 cm. The cooler is near silent in operation and runs between 1500 and 2000 rpm with a noise level of 0.7 Sone.

The heat pipe layout on the Accelero Xtreme is quite complex. They all run by the core and curve around until they reach the aluminum fins.

Due to the default voltage regulation o*n the fan, a low RPM value for the fan was created by the BIOS so as to prevent noise.Accelero Xtreme is using 3 ultra quiet PWM fans which allow optimal air flow rate but operate at an extremely low noise level. To achieve the best result, it is recommended to use RivaTuner for controlling the fan speed.

    Performance

When it comes to cooling the PCB of the card, the Accelero Xtreme falls a bit behind the competition. The GPU is kept really cool by this cooler. With GPU load it is in first five list which is good performance .

    noise

about 950 RPMs with 40% fan duty cycle making the cooler silent, with no humming.Fans spin around at approximately 1450 RPMs making the cooler little noisier, with fan speed to about 1850 RPMs making each of the three fans produce a fair noise .The best thing about this cooler besides the shape and the design of the heat pipes.

    conclusion

That is a pretty remarkable improvement. This can definitely be attributed to the three fans used on the Accelero Xtreme 8800, since most stock coolers use just one fan, plus, since the fans are PWM enabled, you can control the fan speed through RivaTuner and even run them at 100% if you so desire.

The remarkable aspect of the AC cooler is that the Accelero Xtreme 8800 is quieter than the stock NVIDIA cooler during idle activity and under load.

This type of cooling should allow you to overclock your card into higher stratospheres and still have safe temperatures.

The three PWM fans from Accelero Xtreme bring maximum air flow but operate extremely silence, thanks to the low noise impellor design and the patented fan holder which eliminates the humming noise.

The operation of Accelero Xtreme brings you the undisturbed gaming experience ever before.
