Acquiring Network Address
Hello Fox.
My laptop Acer 2350 (2353NLC) Travelmate says me
Acquiring Network address.
I get of Wireless Card, if it was his cause, but no.
the same thing with LAN CARD.
DHCP is Enabled
and Netbios too!
I have an Dell Optiplex GX150 that the Lan Card dont work.
I formatted it with Win XP SP3,
it got by itself the Network Driver,
but nothing... this PC dont work with any cable.
It says: Cable Unplugged.
What Can I do? :(
Re: Acquiring Network Address
Try out the following:
- Right click on the connection - Properties; make sure Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is listed and checked.
- Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services; make sure TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper and DHCP Client services are started.
- Start - Run - cmd - OK; in the command window type ping 127.0.0.1 , This is a loopback test; if you don't get four responses the adaptor is probably bad and you'll need to get a new one. Or, if warranty, convince them to replace.
Re: Acquiring Network Address
You need to install LAN card driver for Dell Optiplex GX150 or re-install the same and check. You can also find out the solution from these thread :

Re: Acquiring Network Address
The network address may basically be aquired only if the address and the configuration is assigned appropriately. Check out the dns server address for the same and then apply the changes if made. Restart the modem and the system then.
Re: Acquiring Network Address
Thnx for your post,
but this laptop was tried to many routers.

Formatted... with different XP.
Nothing F*cking happened...
Sorry for the language :(
