Only SMS but no GSM call for Acer Iconia A501

Hello friends, I just received my A501 for a few days and I noticed that the SMS function on it. I know it is rarely used on a table to make calls, but I have a curiosity why the SMS function is possible honeycomb, but no GSM calls?
