I have a E-machine T2984 desktop and it is been installed with Windows Xp. The problem is that I am not able to boot the system. I had 512 MB Ram and now I upgraded to 1 GB and the system is not able to boot. I do not know what could have caused the issue. Please do help so that I can process with the system well and make it to function.
There is a possibility through which you can make the system to start well. All you need to do is to disconnect the complete devices from the system and as it is been done just plug the power cord and then check whether you are able to get a beep sound when the system is powered. IF you receive a beep sound this means that the system is fine it could be that the issue is with the software.
It could be that the RAM you have attached is not functioning or able to cope with the system board. Try to check out for the compatibility. Also it does happen sometime that the RAM is not proper and not able to function. Replace it other RAM and then check for the issue. I guess it will then process well for you.
