Video Card Problem in my PC

I find myself alittle out of my depth, and thought I'd seek some advice from people in "the know"

My system has been exceptionally stable, since I purchased it just over a year ago, and until very recently I have had no issues.

What I'd like help is to identify roughly what is wrong by explaining the symptoms here..

I play a couple of online games, and run them at a high quality level, my card and system have never had any problems with this kind of use before. But very recently, I received a driver stopped error:

NVLDDMKM - associated with my NVIDIA card. It did state that it had recovered, but my system crashed and had to be reset.

Since then, my graphics display even on the ASUS boot screen are affected, there are small wiggly blue lines over everything, and I can neither watch any form of video OR play any games. My system often fails to boot, and displays video glitching (tiny commas over the boot screen)

I have uninstalled and reseated my card, reinstalled stable drivers, but the wiggly line problem, and instability in rendering video and games has gotten gradually worse.

I believe that perhaps my GFX card has been damaged at somepoint, or has become faulty, as the problems have gotten gradually worse as time has gone by, I believe the problem lies with my GFX card exclusively as I benchmarked my system after the problem occured initially, and it was fine.

I have ordered a replacement and will fit it and install it along with the latest drivers.

I did wonder why I'm seeing the visual glitches on the boot screen, as I believed my video card was'nt responsible for rendering that.

I believe that your video card is dying. In any case could you please tell us the make/model of your video card. Also what are your rest of the system specs. If your motherboard supports onboard display options then try to boot from it and remove the graphics card just to ensure what is at fault. Thanks for the advice, I have since purchased a new motherboard (impulsively) and come to realise that it is very likely my motherboard has failed, and no longer works.
