No delivery yet after re-ordering Lenovo T400

There is something very much unusual and unfair happening with me. I first ordered a T400 on 12th January which was delivered to me on time with any issue. But then when I unpacked the package and then tried starting the laptop, the system refused to start. Tried multiple time to start the machine by pressing the power button but nothing seems to be working.

Due to this reason I returned the product and then re-ordered the same thinkpad suddenly on the same day. But guess what these Lenovo support people are try to play with me now. They say that I will have to pay for the second T400 which I am ordering now. Instead of returning me my money they are asking me to gather money for the second one. My second delivery expected date was on 10th February but you know they have now swiped my card and kept the money on hold, when called them and asked they said that my credit card didn’t work properly and that’s why my order is on hold. I do not trust Lenovo any more. I however want to get out of this mess, anyone there to help me?

Hey friend you need not have to worry. Listen carefully, normally the customer is being told to return the defected system before the expected date for the replacement is sent to you. Maybe just because you ordered the second delivery too early in advance before they record the report for the replacement of the first product, you are forced to pay also for the second delivery now.

Hope you will soon receive the blocked amount as soon as they will get the first machine returned by you.

The amount which has been deducted from your card is actually not deducted, it’s just a charge hold was placed on you card when you placed the second order.

Nothing is billed till now but the charge hold can be shown against the balance. Once if the amount is declined then definitely sending the second system is the only option left with them.

Make sure that you stay in contact with the Support center and ask for help again and again.

Hey I called up Lenovo yesterday. They said that they will be gave me the estimate delivery date of next month 13th i.e. exactly one month from now. And they also said that the amount has been kept on hold till I get the replacement delivery. i do not understand why it’s on hold when I my replacement order is confirmed.

I would have gone for an Asus product instead of re-ordering the same Lenovo model and getting into a mess. Any extra suggestion you would like to give me.

Hey congrats, but I think now you should expect some amount of compensation from Lenovo for all the mess and problems you have faced till now. There were no faults committed by you at all; it was their product which caused the entire problem. Actually I think instead of replacing the model you should have returned the product and went for some other model i.e. “Asus”.
