Samsung Focus S 4G is not charging

I found that my Samsung Focus S 4G has stopped charging. It was working well last week and the problem started from this week only. can you guess that what could be the reason for this problem or how can I get this problem resolved. I searched a lot for this but failed to get any working solution. So I am posting this over here. If you can suggest me some possible reason or solution for this issue then please let me know that. I will be thankful to all the replies for this. Please help me.

This seems that the battery which you are using is having some problem and so it is not getting charged. What you can do is, just remove the battery from the phone and see if the battery is swollen or not. If you find that the battery is swollen then this will ensure that the problem is with the battery and there is only one solution for this and that is to change the battery.

There is also possibility that the charging slot on the phone is damaged and that is not providing proper connection to the charging pin and the phone and as a result of that phone is not getting charged. You cannot do anything to solve it on your own. What you can do is, just go to some mobile phone repairing shop and they will fix his for you. This is going to be the best option for you. There are many of the other possible reasons for this but this is one of the most possible reasons but if battery is not faulty.

To check that if the problem is with the charger or not, You May need to put a voltmeter across the connector to make sure any voltage is coming from the charger.
