Keypad lock not working in Sony Ericsson ck13i!

Hi , I have just bought the new Sony Ericson ck13i and having problems with keypad lock! The space bar has a symbol of lock but whenever I try to lock the keypad with it, it doesn’t work. So I went to the setting to lock the keypad which is also giving the same problem! Is there any solution to this? There is no proper locking functionality to this phone! If you have any solution then please let me know!

To lock the phone you should press the button for while, then it will locked the phone. If it doesn’t seem to work then please visit the gallery or update your phone! This should not happen with Sony Ericson phone.

I had the Sony phone before with the same locking system. I tried long pressing the space bar but it doesn’t work. I even tried updating the phone but haven’t got this function working for me! I think this phone has some issue with this. I will ask to the gallery now. There is nothing specified about this in the manual.

Dude, I have the same problem. I tried updating the phone. It was working then but when my phone went switch off after losing whole battery at night and when I restarted the phone at morning the function was gone. Where is the auto lock function now?

Yeah, even I am facing the same problem , whenever I switch the phone off and on back the function disappears. I have already updated my phone several times. This is becoming big problem for me and frustrating too . Don’t I have anything to do then just keep on updating my phone, this will cause other problem to my phone. Sony should take a look at the number of people having the same problem with this phone.

Guys , there is the another thing in my mobile. Whenever I lose the auto-lock setting I just switch my phone off and then on. After restarting, my phone gains the this setting , I don’t know from where but I have the same problem. Sometimes when I make any changes to my profile or connect to the pc even then this phone loses the auto lock setting. I have to restart my phone in order to work properly.

Hey,I have tried every move you have been doing with your phones. i tried updating the phone but the auto-lock function lasted for while and then stopped working. I tried switching on/off trick for my mobile which worked for lot of people here but couldn’t fix the problem. Is there any other way? I am not going to update my phone again as it has nothing to do with the faulty function of this phone.

I had sent the phone to the service center but it came back with the problem, though the people at the service center say that they have serviced the phone properly. I tried some calls to the service center but they don’t know anything about this problem. I guess this model has some drawback in it. Other than the locking system phone is working fine.Sony Ericsson should take all the faulty models back or provide us with proper update which will solve our issue.

I have a CK13i, the keypad only works for me if I reinstall the software. Turn off the phone and the feature is lost. Got phone in October. It has been back to Sony ericson's service centre and twice to Tesco mobiles service centre. Just got a prepaid envelope from Tesco to send it back again (hopefully for the final time). Each time it comes back saying it has been installed with lastest software and they can not find a fault but each time it is returned the key pad lock does not work. I think this phone has a serious bug / problem.

If it has been to service center THRICE but still the problem is alive, than why are you still stuck with the same. Just return it to Sony, you will get replacement with new device as it is still in warranty. You have a strong point to get the replacement. What they do is just firmware upgrade or re-installation, and if it could fix the issue, it could have been done in the first attempt.
