Camera Image Size small in HTC sensation XE

I have purchased this smart phone HTC Sensation XE recently and it’s one of the best I had before. Its performance as a smart phone and multimedia power is awesome. This phone has 8 mega pixel camera with auto focus and dual-Led flash. But when I click a photo the Image size is very small about 800 kb.
With 8mp camera the size of the clicked images should be higher. My question is how should I increase the size of my clicked images? Does anybody having the same issue?

I am facing the same kind of problem from my HTC sensation XE. I thought phone’s 8mp camera with maximum 3264x2448 pixels will give me good size and quality of clicked Images. In a low light the size is 800kb and in a good light sun it goes to max 1mb. I am looking for the same answer to this. Also I have some of the image quality issue which is solved “Camera setting”.

I have also got HTC sensation XE and the camera image size is good. May be you can check the camera settings in your phone.

• Go to Menu option in your phone and make a slight modification in “Change camera Setting”,
• Choose the “Scenes” which suites best,
• Change the “Image Adjustments” by adjusting the sharpness, saturation, contrast and exposure,
• Enable the “White balance” it has control for the image colors,
• Set the higher level for ISO [photo mode only]
• Change the “Photo Resolution” on higher pixel to use,
• Choose the “Widescreen” [photo mode only] to 16:9 ratio to use the whole screen for the Image size,

This might help you in better Image size. The other options in the camera setting are for image Quality. Hope this sort out your issue.
