While doing initial setting in sony vaio EA Media gallery stucks

I am using Sony vaio EA series and I have windows Vista operating system in my laptop and I am facing problem with the media gallery in my laptop. While doing the initial setting in the media gallery it stucks at the time of the configuring the firewall. I don’t know what is wrong with it but this problem has started suddenly. Please tell me what I should do to solve this problem.

I have tried to search the solution on the internet and I came to know that by changing the initial setting from false to true in setting.xml file you can solve this problem and that is why I will suggest you to first open the setting.xml file and then set the initial setting to TRUE and then save that file and then your problem will get solved.

Yes above solution is correct I was also facing similar problem and then I have solve this problem by editing the setting.xml file. First you have to go to the users and then open users folder after that select user which you use in your laptop and open that. Now select the AppData and then select the Sony Corporation from local folder. In that folder you will find the media gallery option and then open the setting.xml file. In that file you have to look for the

<InitialSetting><Setting><IsSucceed>FALSE</IsSucceed></Setting></InitialSetting>

And then change it true.

After hat your problem will get solved.

I have read the solution and first I have uncheck the media gallery option from the firewall in my laptop and after doing that also I was facing the same problem with the media gallery in my laptop and after that I have done necessary changes in the setting.xml file but that does not help me to solve this problem.

Is there any other way to solve this problem then please let me know?

I think by reinstalling the media gallery from your Sony vaio laptop you can solve this problem and that is why I would like to tell you that you should uninstall the media gallery from your laptop and after uninstalling the media gallery you have to restart the Sony Vaio laptop and after restarting the Sony Vaio laptop you have to remove temp files from your Sony Vaio laptop. Now after that you have to install the media gallery software again in your laptop and after installing that in your laptop you have to check whether you are getting same problem or not.

Most of the time reinstalling the software can fix this type of problems.

Well you should download the latest version of media gallery from the internet and after downloading the latest media gallery from the internet you have to first uninstall the media gallery which is already installed in your Sony Vaio laptop.

I have first reinstalled the media gallery software in my Sony Vaio laptop and after reinstalling that also I was facing the same problem and then have downloaded the latest media gallery from internet and then installed in my Sony Vaio laptop and after that my problem get solved. I would be very careful when downloading the latest version of media gallery..i lost media gallery in the first place by downloading the recommended updates for it..which failed to download properly, i then had to re-install media gallery and am now at the situation where i am stuck in the initial settings stage and cant get past the windows firewall stage..i have tried checking or allowing this program manually but it does not work i'm finding it very annoying and frustrating so i'm gonna try the solution suggested above ( xml.file ) i'll let you know how i go.
