Achievable perhaps However realistic, maybe not since there is a thermal calibration necessary for PPC processors. To The Best Of My Knowledge this software has never been release to the public. I'm logically sure you have to get the quicker Logic Board also. What speed do you have at the moment?

Thanks for the reply at present I contain a 1.6, its okay, I'd just similar to to make it just a little nicer.

I've got 3 GB of RAM, so I could add one more gig.

Well, they just get faster from there, but it would need a lot of work & cost, may be cheaper to just purchase a whole faster one.

Great, which model I sorry I make out Repeating inquiry which model? And then, given that we're all not expensive, masochistic or caught in a time warp, or we wouldn't be on this Power Mac known posting of the BBB report, I'll be hopeful that it arrive as promised, no issue etc., and rooting for you to have it work out that way Please let us know how it turns out! Decided I'd better step forward. I'll be shopping for an Intel step-up, probably sooner than later. Thanks!

Hi I'm looking to replace the 2.0 GHz processor Dual-my G5. I searched the Internet and found a good pair, but also come from a 2.0 dual model no. A1047 EMC 1969. My Mac is the model number is A1047 EMC 1969c, the only difference is the EMC. Do you think that the processors are set to my computer? I really need to know before you buy. Just require to familiar with if the CPU as a alternate on my Power Mac, EMC figure on mine is 1969c as well as the additional Mac I'm receiving the processors is 1969, together have the similar model no. A1047 and the similar capacity 2.0 GHz .

    Thank you.

You will have to be patient. A limited number of users in this forum and you are not around 24 hours a day you can not even be the day when some of them . I'm sure if anyone knows the answer to the post. Highly specialized knowledge will seem that the disparity is mainly in energy, but I have two the same cars in the year make and model, however as that was completed in two dissimilar months become aware of small differences mean parts of one won’t work on the further

I have a question, my question is if the serial number is the same in both CPUs as they only gave that number and are removable from the same machine. My PowerMac is the model year is June 2004 as "technical specifications" in the Apple support site where you enter the serial number of the machine. I'm not even going to bother looking at the serial number of my CPU is bad, since they are not the originals. I ordered the CPUs with the heat sink install. So do I still have to make use of thermal paste to install them on my power mac?

Yeah You will also require to run Thermal Calibration by means of the ASD (Apple Service Disc) 2.5.8.
