I understand your problem and I will suggest you to use the Try Swype keyboard application. Go to the android market and after that search for the Swype keyboard application and after that install it in your defy.

Yes I am aware of this problem many users of the defy are having the similar problem with the keyboard of the Motorola defy and I will also suggest you to use the Swype keyboard. Swype application allow user to input the text in a faster and simpler which you will not get from the default keyboard of the Motorola defy. I have searched on the internet for the best keyboard application and I find Swipe is best application then other. Basically it works on the patented technology that enables users to input over 40 words per minute.

I think you should install this application in your mobile phone and after installing the Swipe in your device you will not find difficulty while typing in your device. If you want to know anything more about this then let me know.

I will also suggest you to use Swipe keyboard in your Motorola defy because first I was also using the SwiftKey application abut I didn’t find this application user-friendly and after that I have uninstalled that application from my mobile phone and after uninstalling the application from my mobile phone I have installed swipe application which is very nice. You should also go for the swipe application and after that you will not get problem while typing in your mobile phone.

As you have said that you are getting error while installing the Swype application from your mobile phone and that is why I will ask you that are you facing the same problem while installing any other application in your Motorola defy? Try to install another application in your Motorola defy and after that you have to check whether you are facing the same problem or not. If you get the same error while installing the any other application then I think there is something wrong with your mobile phone. If you don’t get the same problem with other application then I think you may have installed any other application in your device related to keyboard which is causing this issue.

First check this and after that let me know what the result is.

If you are trying to install the Swype application from the android market and after that you are facing this problem then I think you should download the application from the official site of the Sype and after that try to install it. I think after that you will not get the same problem.

If after trying to install the swipe application from the official site also if you are getting the same problem then I will suggest you to try to solve this problem by doing restore factory setting in your Motorola defy and I think after doing the restore factory setting in your Motorola defy your problem will get solved.

Before you do restore factory setting you should first take the backup of all your data because doing restore factory setting will erase everything from your mobile phone.

To do the restore factory setting in your Motorola defy you need to follow this steps.

    • First you have to turn off the phone
    • After that you have to press and hold volume decrease button along with press power button.
    • Then you have to Wait for the Android screen and then you have to release the volume down button
    • Now select the lower righthand corner of Touch Screen
    • Now you need to select “Wipe” and Press OK
    • After that select Restart System Now and then Press OK
