Hi, I am a Toshiba Satellite L45-S7409 user and In the laptop I have installed windows 7 which is giving very poor performance than what I have expected from the operating system. Don’t know whether the operating system is not configured with the machine or not but still having very awful problem, whenever I start the laptop it just freezes randomly don’t know what could be problem, and as I have mentioned this is happening randomly thus it is pretty difficult to understand what is causing this problem. Any suggestion for resolving this would be surely appreciated. Thanks.

See there could be so many reasons that can cause such problem with the machine, thus can you please being more specific so that I can assist you further. See I have mentioned some of the causes that can be the problem,

    • Laptop become older

    • How deficiently had it been ‘abused’

    • Overheating

    • OS files

    • Any hardware drivers

    • messy laptop registry files

I am exactly agree with the above user as I was also having the same problem with the machine and after all it was because of the incorrect rather corrupted drivers that I had installed in my machine.

In addition when I was searching about the same thing I have found that laptops are more particular about having drivers that are purposely prepared for the precise make and model you have. All of the chief brands such as HP, Dell, Acer and Sony all have drivers made or intended exclusively for their laptops. Not having these exact drivers installed could be a rationale why your laptop keeps freezing.

And as far as drivers are concern the very important driver I would be mainly concerned about is video card driver. So according to your manufacturer you should visit their website and download the latest video driver they have for your specific model you have and in your case it is Toshiba.

Uninstall all the programs which is un necessary according to you as they might be causing this kind of problems in your machine because see the very first thing you should be aware about is like you should install any such program which is either not compatible with the OS you have or not intended for your machine. Thus if you have ever noticed like after running those programs you are having problem then you should remove it from your machine and then see what happens.

as already mentioned above but still there are various reasons that can cause such problem with the machine that you can test on your own rather consider it as a recommendation and they are,

    1. The laptop is mismatched among the software that you are trying to run

    2. The laptop is exaggerated by a virus or any bug

    3. The system design isn’t excellent enough to run a program that you would desire to exploit

    4. The page files are kept in the cache for the longest time.

    5. Your laptop no longer has enough memory.

    6. There aren’t sufficient sources for your laptop

    7. The hardware is previously out of order

It might be possible that your laptop must be having overheating problems. You require recognizing that because they require to be portable, their hardware mechanism will be apt to be unsuccessful earlier than a desktop computer. If suppose your laptop is freezing after 20 to 30 minutes subsequent to turning it on, it could extremely well correlated to overheating for sure as far as I know.

Take a instant to place the vent where the fan propel air out of your laptop and place your hand in front of it to observe if there is any kind of air at all approaching out.

You may also discover that there is a fine amount of dust builds up on this vent. Don’t be frightened to take some canned air and drive all of the dust out. In short make sure all the fans you have installed in the laptop is working perfectly or not.

are you sure that you are not having any viruses or any such malware in your machine? Because this is also one of the major concerning issues. Thus If you are not aware about the same you should install any good antivirus software in your machine and then see whether the same thing is happening or not, because if this is really because of the viruses then it would be resolved after installing any good antivirus software, as far as my personal recommendation is concern I would prefer AVG among all.

Don’t know exactly whether you If you have done troubleshooting as mentioned above and have found that the laptop is behaving in the same manner, then you require to believe that you may have tainted operating system files and according to me This could be the reason your laptop keeps freezing. One thing that I can not at all strain too much is while you buy a laptop, maintain everything that comes with it. By that I mean, keep all of the disks. A lots of times, whilst a person is having troubles with their laptop and they requires to carry out a system repair or reinstall the Operating system, they never have the CD’s that arrived by means of the laptop. Do not let that being be you! If your laptop is blue-screening on you, or if it is locking up hard but not restarting, in that case you most probable have an OS problem. I would suggest doing a Windows Repair on your system. Take note, you do not desire to do a complete system restore since if you do this, you will lose all of your important data for sure.
