Windows Phone 7: Poor battery life with Mango OS

I am having Windows phone 7 which is running Mango operating system. I found that the battery life of that is very poor. I think (not sure) that this is because of the Mango operating system. Is this true? If someone of you have any idea regarding this then please let me know about that and how can I get out of this issue. I will be thankful to all the replies for this.

I think that there are some of the applications running in the background of ;your phone and for that reason you are getting the issues like this. So just check for that and if you found that some of such applications is running in your phone then just close that and see if this can improve the battery performance to some extent.

You can try by turning of the settings for the "Attentive Phone" that are there in the Settings> Applications> Background Tasks> Advanced. Once you are done with that then just restart your phone. Make sure that you have charged the battery to 100 %. I hope that this will help you to get the issue resolved. Good Luck!!!

I would like to tell you that the battery life is one of the largest strength of the Windows Phone 7. I think that there is some problem with the phone you are using or there is some issue with the Mango as you are getting poor battery performance. Why don’t you contact to the dealer from where you bought the phone and see how they can help you. They will tell you that what the problem with that is. Other than this, you should also check for the battery as I think that there is some problem with the battery that you are using and that need to be replaced with a new one.

Battery life is mostly depends on the total number of charge cycles. So don’t put the battery for charging every night. Just wait for the time till it reaches to 25 % and then only charge that. This can be because the battery you are using started to age the charge cycle.

There are a lot of users who are complaining regarding the terrible battery life from their Windows Phone. The major cause behind this is the fact that a lot of services are on in default which gobble up the battery quite rapidly.

Make sure that you are charging with the standard charger of the phone. If you are charging with some other charger then please don’t do that. Just charge with the standard battery.

It is possible that the battery which you are using with the phone might be faulty and this is not the problem of the operating system on the phone. You can either check the battery on some other phone or you can check your phone with some other phone to confirm the fault with the battery.
