Is it worth buying Lenovo ThinkPad X61 tablet or no?

I am planning to purchase a new tablet. I have been using Samsung galaxy 10 previously but unfortunately it got damaged and hence I had to sell it off. So now I am planning to purchase a new tablet. I have heard a lot about Lenovo ThinkPad X61 tablet. Actually below I have mentioned my requirements,
    • note-taking
    • pdf/word doc annotations
    • general surfing/multi-touch
    • wacom pen accuracy
    • 4:3 screen ratio
I would also like to know about the build quality of this tablet. I also want to know what if I purchase a 3 or 4 year old laptop, how long years will it last. Also is there any other tablet that I look for? Any suggestions regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Everything is as I suppose except thing and that is I think you should replace the hard drive with a SSD. I would suggest you to get the 1400x1050 screen resolution. I am suggesting you to change the hard drive because I had to replace all the hard drives in my X61T because they were failing.

I don’t know what your reason for getting x61 t is? Why do you want this one? Let me tell you that no doubt the x61t is the sxga 4:3 screen which is very good. I would like to know that does anybody have personal experience with outdoor viewing and viewing angles. It also has the 4-way multi-directional onscreen button which could be oriented to be on the upper left also it has very good battery life. X61 t is same as x200t in relation with speed. It is a very good computer.

As you have mentioned your needs so I think that this one is perfect for you. I would never say you to go for a 3 or 4 year old laptop. Actually the whole condition of the laptop depends upon the person who has used it. Anyway all components of laptops actually have a life of 3 to 4 years only. After these years they are everyone mostly have to or changes the laptop. It is always advisable to get a new laptop. If you go for an old laptop then you will have to get it repaired more often and you will have to pay a lot so it is better to take a new laptop. I have been doing the same. I have used a laptop for maximum of 2 years. I have always experienced some or other troubles after couple of years.

I am an x61 t owner and I am very proud of having it. I would say that the build quality of this tablet is excellent. My x61 t is very solid and has no problems. I accidently dropped my laptop twice and fortunately I was very lucky because nothing happened to my laptop. I know that if there was my old tablet then definitely it would have got damaged.

I would like to know your budget? There are many tablets available in the market. I would say that it would be better to search on the internet. I would say that start googling on the internet and find one for you.
